Important: Scopely was acquired for $4.9B

In 04/2023 Savvy Games Group, a games and esports company that is part of the Saudi government’s Public Investment Fund, agreed to acquire mobile games studio Scopely for $4.9B (all cash, with no contingent/earn out consideration, making it one of the top 10 largest acquisitions in the games space ever).

Information for investors as of 04/2023: the amount that will be paid per share is dependent upon a number of factors, including balances of debt and debt-like items, cash and working capital on the actual closing date. Given this, we will not know the final price per share until closing and the final settlement of the customary post-closing purchase price adjustment. Based on 31.12.2022 balances and some other assumptions, it is currently estimated that the price per common share will be between $44 and $45 on a fully diluted, as converted basis.

In 08/2023 Savvy Games Group and Scopely closed the deal. The Buyer - Savvy Games - transfered the funds to Scopely investors at $45.2 per share.
